I believe that we should do what we can to improve the lives of others by giving back to our community. Over the years it has been my privilege and pleasure to work with many fine people as a supporter, volunteer and board member of organizations that help others. I am also proud of my professional and personal accomplishments over the years. This page provides a glimpse into my background, experience and qualifications.

    • Established strategic goals and objectives for the company that led to being named one of the top 100 small businesses in NC

    • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, business management, and problem-solving skills that resulted in successful completion of numerous projects

  • Former Aldermen and Mayor Pro Tem – Town of Kernersville (2003 - 2013)

  • Former Member – Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Board of Education (2015-2023), Chair of the board (2015-2018)

  • Former Member – Forsyth Technical College Board of Trustees

  • Former Member – Arts Council of Winston-Salem

  • Former Member and past President – Kernersville Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors

  • Honored recipient of various community awards: Kernersville Citizen of the Year 2012, Community Distinguished Service Award 2016, The “Lonesome Ed” McKnight Award in 2021 from FCGOP

Hobbies & Interests

  • Member of Reynolda Church

  • Enjoy spending time with David, my husband of 28 years, and my son, who is 23 years old

  • Love animals (especially my German Shepherd) and enjoy live music
